Genesis Chapter 1

1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2: And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4: And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5: And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

31: And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

1: בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ.
2: וְהָאָרֶץ הָיְתָה תֹהוּ וָבֹהוּ וְחֹשֶׁךְ עַל־פְּנֵי תְהוֹם וְרוּחַ אֱלֹהִים מְרַחֶפֶת עַל־פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם.
3: וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יְהִי אוֹר וַיְהִי־אוֹר.
4: וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים אֶת־הָאוֹר כִּי־טוֹב וַיַּבְדֵּל אֱלֹהִים בֵּין הָאוֹר וּבֵין הַחֹשֶׁךְ.
5: וַיִּקְרָא אֱלֹהִים לָאוֹר יוֹם וְלַחֹשֶׁךְ קָרָא לָיְלָה וַיְהִי־עֶרֶב וַיְהִי־בֹקֶר יוֹם אֶחָד.

31: וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים אֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה וְהִנֵּה־טוֹב מְאֹד וַיְהִי־עֶרֶב וַיְהִי־בֹקֶר יוֹם הַשִּׁשִּׁי.

1: आदि में परमेश्वर ने आकाश और पृथ्वी की सृष्टि की।
2: और पृथ्वी बेडौल और सुनसान पड़ी थी; और गहरे जल के ऊपर अंधियारा था: और परमेश्वर की आत्मा जल के ऊपर मण्डलाती थी।
3: तब परमेश्वर ने कहा, उजियाला हो: और उजियाला हो गया।
4: और परमेश्वर ने उजियाले को देखा कि अच्छा है; और परमेश्वर ने उजियाले को अंधियारे से अलग किया।
5: और परमेश्वर ने उजियाले को दिन और अंधियारे को रात कहा। तथा सांझ हुई फिर भोर हुआ। इस प्रकार पहला दिन हो गया।

31: तब परमेश्वर ने अपने बनाए हुए सब कामों को देखा, और क्या देखा, कि वे बहुत ही अच्छे हैं। तथा सांझ हुई फिर भोर हुआ। इस प्रकार छठवां दिन हो गया।
